Mai Chau

Once out of the city the landscape is simply enchanting, beautiful landscapes and home to many diverse and culturally unique ethnic minorities. Small picturesque villages inhabited by the Hmong, Dao,Thai and Nung. Lust jade-green terraced rice fields sprawl though valleys and climb their sides. Wooden silt housesand farms villages sit quietly between sleeping limestone mountains. Villages work the fields, children flash peace signs at you as you drift though their land.

Mai Chau is about 160K from Hanoi located in the Hoa Bihn province,there are a few homestay places some which offer bike and trekking tours of the area but this is a rural area so theirs no atm only simple lodgings and happy smiling people.
