Your not invincible, your only human so get insurance. Heres a couple of reasons why:

1. Riding a motorbike any place has its dangers even the most proficient of riders have accidents. The roads can be to say the least in many places just moon surfaces, dust, holes, rocks not to mention all the crap that comes along them. Dogs run out, chickens wander fearless across them and people drive on them with no rules. 
2. You will also be covered if you hit or damage anything other then your self. 

Note though: If you ride without a valid motorbike license your insurance won´t cover you.
